Our hope for Ballymacarrett
A home for the community.
Once we are in, we hope to open 5 Paulett Avenue all week as a home for community life in Ballymacarrett, alongside its heritage, for people of all faiths and none. We haven’t started in East Belfast yet – but this is the kind of work we already do at Bradbury Hub in Shaftesbury Square, where you’re guaranteed a friendly face, and maybe a cuppa.

What we hope to offer at Paulett
Plans for once we are in – not yet running in East Belfast.
Food and essentials
We hope to run a foodbank, so neighbours can find food, essentials and a warm welcome.
Learning for children
We plan to start a Saturday school with free classes and homework support.
A youth club
We hope to open a safe, creative space for teenagers – the 1928 Lecture Hall was built for young people.
Support and friendship
We hope to offer friendship and practical help in hard times.
Heritage for everyone
We plan to open the doors to share nearly 190 years of the building’s story.
Shaped with our new neighbours: once we are in, we plan to listen first and build these plans together.
Help open the doors.
Every gift goes into one restoration fund for 5 Paulett Avenue. Gifts go to RCCG Place of Victory for All Nations, Belfast, NI charity no. NIC102584.
